The main aim of Mr. Timothy’s classes is to get students to understand what exactly is Economics. “There's an old saying that ‘Wisdom is the principal thing, and in all your getting get understanding’, and that is my principle in delivering the subject.” Mr. Timothy hopes that as students attend his lessons, even if they may not fully like the subject, they would still be able to understand how it works and make use of what they have learnt in daily life.A pro-tip from Mr. Timothy to students would be to avoid procrastination. He believes that understanding a subject and its concepts takes time. Hence, as students transit from one level of difficulty to the next, Mr. Timothy constantly spurs them on and encourages them to make full use of each opportunity to improve themselves.
MR CHONG WOON HAN

Mr. Chong aims to remove the student-tutor barrier in his classes by developing an interpersonal relationship with students. A less awkward environment, he believes, would motivate students to be more vocal and ask questions, which is essential for their learning. For Mr. Chong, learning is done as a team – of teacher and students – and no one gets left behind. He holds in high regard the need for mutual understanding and respect between tutor and student and among students themselves so that learning becomes a natural and enjoyable process.
MR ROY PHANG

In his classes, Mr. Roy takes on a facilitative role where he constantly encourages students to share their opinions and ideas as he guides them along so that the discussions do not go off tangent. Engaging in discussion is important to Mr. Roy as he believes that it serves as a form of check and balance for students and himself to understand where they stand and how they can improve from thereon.

Mr. Adrian teaches via exposure, not just in terms of knowledge of the world but through the introduction of strong arguments to students as well. His lessons are structured and themed, thus preventing students from veering off tangent in his classes. Mr. Adrian also makes it a point to provide materials that are well-updated and closely aligned to current affairs so that students would have available references on hand.

MR SEAN LIM

Experience: More than 3 years of teaching experience as a full time tutor.
Mr Lim believes that there are three essential steps in doing well in Economics. First, we need to build a strong foundation. Next, one must retain different application skills from past papers and model answers. Last but not least, to be able to apply such answers in the context of different questions. In order to achieve these, he conducts his classes in a systematic manner through a series of critically planned syllabus.
Sean approaches teaching from a different perspective and will find daily examples to explain why some students do better as compared to the others. Through his years of teaching, he realised that the greatest difference lies between understanding, retaining and applying the knowledge. He hopes that through his humble understanding, he can teach his students to excel, not only in Economics but also in all forms of learning and approaching life in general.
Mr Lim prefers to give short and intensive sessions with appropriate breaks for students to conceptualize and voice out any questions. Thus, his students can hold their attention span in a much better and efficient manner and eventually increases the efficiency rate of a student.

Ms. Ruoxi is an interactive tutor who will actively engage students in classroom discussions.
